A space to connect, reflect, and grow — one memory, one meltdown, one magical moment at a time.
Did you know that your child is in the most rapid period of development since toddlerhood?
If your child is between the ages of nine and twelve, you are in the throes of the ‘between’ years. Not quite a child and not yet a teenager, tweens embody a very specific stage of development that once understood will revolutionise the way you parent, educate and support those in your care.
TWEENS will help you understand what kids need NOW, before the teenage years.
This book is practical, grounded in research and offers valuable insights from my survey of over 2000 parents and tweens. Together, we will explore your child’s friendship issues, mood swings, confidence crises, technology habits, sibling rivalry, body image concerns, tricky behaviour and the road ahead.
One thing I am sure of – right now, before the full pressures of high school hit, you have a window of opportunity that can change the trajectory of adolescence and beyond. I can’t wait to reassure you that your tween is ready to be switched on to their potential, and every trusted adult in their lives can be a part of that process.

A Closing Thought
At LeeLu, we know parenting is hard — and parenting a neurodivergent child can feel even harder. Doing it solo, unsupported, and exhausted is a whole different world. LeeLu was born from that lived experience. As a teacher, counsellor in training, and solo mum to a neurodivergent child, I spent years searching for support and connection, but often came up empty. With no family nearby, few friendships that could withstand the realities of our life, and very little time or energy, we learned to create what we needed ourselves.
What began as a small space for families like ours has grown into something bigger — a place for all families and children who need connection, comfort, and a little extra love in their days. Because even on the busiest, toughest days, there are tiny moments of magic: when your child opens up while filling in a journal, when a simple poem on a string gets them through a rough morning, or when you sit side-by-side and remember the good things together.
That’s why we create tools for those moments — reminders of love and belonging — so no matter how wild life gets, every child knows: “You are seen. You are loved. I’m here.
We’re a mum-and-daughter duo navigating life with ASD, PDA and ADHD — one day, one meltdown, one magical moment at a time - and we’ve learned that connection is everything.
In the chaos of busy days, big feelings, and trying to do it all on our own, we kept coming back to one thing: our kids don’t need perfect… they just need to feel seen, safe and loved.
LeeLu is our way of holding onto that.
It’s where we share what helps us stay close — from memory journals to pocket pets, from honest stories to future travel dreams — all designed to create simple, meaningful moments with the ones who matter most.
Because when life gets loud, connection is the quiet magic that holds it all together.
And every child deserves that.
We’re so glad you’ve found us. 💛
